The last month has been the busiest in the year for GalaBid with thousands of bids being placed and over $2 million being raised through our fundraising software. Along the way we've seen some fun and fantastic uses of our fundraising platform including a live donation challenge involving a big wheel, a group of CEO's and some interesting horse racing!
Clients are constantly thinking of exciting and inventive new ways to utilise our technology to get increased fundraising results. Here's how Humpty Dumpty Foundation did exactly that:
At the start of September the Humpty Dumpty Foundation used GalaBid to run their pledge campaign for equipment to support children in need. Everything from a Cardiorespiratory Monitor (a piece of equipment provides continuous monitoring and records all of the baby's vital signs) to a neonatal stretcher and harness were available for guests to purchase for the hospital and each item was listed as a Ã¤Ã³Ã–buy it now' with a set price and the quantity available.
This allowed each of the Humpty Dumpty volunteers to approach their guests in the room and sell the equipment without doubling up Ã¤Ã³Ã± a problem they have had in previous years which has led to awkward conversations when having to go back to a guest and let them know that that piece of equipment had already been Ã¤Ã³Ã–sold'. By using iPads and going electronic for their pledges they were able to quickly and efficiently raise a lot of funds and benefit from a much more streamlined payment and reconciliation process for the event.
