GalaBid goes beyond silent auctions.
Add a raffle, event ticketing, a donation appeal and live auction items to the same branded campaign site, with one checkout and one set of reports. Supporters register once. A raffle needs a lottery licence from your province or municipality; auctions and donations do not.

GalaBid's Canadian consignment catalogue adds travel, sports and experience packages to your auction. Everything above the cost price goes to your Stripe account, and because a donation is built into the starting bid you are guaranteed a minimum 10% on every item sold. Unsold items go back at no charge. Browse and add items from your dashboard. No payment or card required.

"This is our second year using Galabid for our biggest event of the year. Their customer svc is amazing; they are ALWAYS there to help when needed (even when I had a question at the end of our event at 9pm!) I also conducted a comparison between Galabid and other top bidding sites - Galabid was at the top. You won't be disappointed."

“This was my first experience running an online auction and this was such a great experience. The help chat was so helpful with any questions that I had. Will definitely be doing this again next year”

“It's the first time we used GalaBid but we'll certainly use them again - it was brilliant. Extremely easy to upload items to the online auction that we created. Support online chat function was excellent - got immediate answers to anything we were confused about. Added donation function as an additional item on our auction - it was so easy and so amazing and we were thrilled with the whole thing!”

“Our Pride 2024 Event fundraising was a success in part due to the Galabid Auction/Raffle/Donation page we were able to create. It was simple to do, and easy for the participants to view and get their bids in. The pages of auction items looked great! Very smooth process and also the funds were deposited quickly to our account. Thanks!

Only in limited cases. CRA allows a receipt for the amount above the item's posted fair market value, and only when the bid is at least 125% of that value. Items donated to your auction can be receipted to the person who gave them, at fair market value. GalaBid gives you the data; the receipt is yours to issue.

As each winner pays. Payments go through your own Stripe Canada account, and Stripe pays out to your bank on its standard schedule. GalaBid holds nothing.

See the pricing page for Canadian plans. On the Free plan there is no platform fee; supporters are offered an optional tip at checkout and 10% of tips are shared back to your cause. Stripe's Canadian card fees are passed through without markup, and you choose whether you or the winner covers them.

Yes. Real people, not chatbots, round the clock, including during your event.
A silent auction is where people bid for items from their phone or computer instead of on paper bid sheets. It differs from a live auction, where an auctioneer takes bids from the room.
Bidders place bids during a set period, usually a few days to two weeks, and can be outbid at any time. When the auction closes, the highest bidder on each item wins and pays by card.
Bidders can be outbid during the bidding period. At the end of the auction the highest bidder for each item wins!
An online silent auction can run entirely online, or online before and during your event. With GalaBid the auction site is live in minutes and runs from your phone or laptop.
Source your own items or add them from the Canadian consignment catalogue, then share the link and QR code by email, social media and in person.
Every site is branded to your cause with its own link. No lottery licence is needed, and Stripe Canada settles funds straight to your bank.
If you have a phone or laptop you can run a successful online silent auction. No fundraising experience or spare week needed.
GalaBid has supported charities, schools and community groups since 2011, so the features and support you need are already built in.
Whether you represent a registered charity, a parent council, a hospital foundation or a sports club, everything to reach your target is here.
