RallyUp Alternative for Online Fundraising

RallyUp Alternative for Online Fundraising

Looking for a RallyUp alternative for your fundraising?

If you are comparing RallyUp alternatives, start with the campaign you want to run and the experience you want for your supporters.

GalaBid brings donations, event ticketing, check-in, auctions, raffles and paddle raises together in one fundraising platform. Run a focused online appeal, sell tickets for a community fundraiser or combine several activities in the same campaign.

For organisations in the US, UK and Canada, GalaBid is worth comparing for its pricing choices, tip revenue sharing and practical support. Here is how to assess the differences.

Compare the pricing for your actual fundraiser

Both GalaBid and RallyUp offer a free platform option funded by optional supporter tips. Both also offer paid options without tip requests. The useful comparison is what you pay for the activities you intend to run.

RallyUp’s published Flex rates vary by activity: 2.9% for ticketing, 4.9% for auctions and 6.9% for raffles. Payment processing is additional. It also caps the platform fee on each auction item at US$100 and lists custom pricing for large campaigns and in-person events.

GalaBid offers a Free plan, a percentage-fee Pro plan and a fixed-fee campaign option. Its published US pricing is 4.9% for Pro or US$1,250 per campaign for the fixed-fee option, plus Stripe processing.

A fixed platform fee can make budgeting easier because that charge does not increase with the amount raised. It is worth comparing when you expect substantial campaign revenue. Percentage pricing may suit a smaller campaign better.

Check your regional terms and the full feature package before choosing. US dollar figures here are examples, not UK or Canadian quotes.

A share of platform tips goes back to your cause

GalaBid returns 10% of platform tips to your organisation on its Free plan. If supporters leave $1,000 in platform tips, your cause receives $100 through that revenue share.

This is a share of tips, not a percentage of your fundraising total. Stripe processing fees still need to be accounted for.

When reviewing a tipping model, ask where the contribution goes, how supporters change it and what appears on their payment screen. Those details matter alongside the headline platform fee.

Understand where bonus-entry payments go

On RallyUp’s Free pricing, supporters are offered discounted bonus raffle or sweepstakes entries at checkout. RallyUp treats the payment for those extra entries as a tip, and that money goes to RallyUp to fund the platform.

Flex works differently. Bonus entries are switched off by default. If the organiser enables them, the proceeds go to the organisation to help cover its platform fee, and the organisation keeps any excess.

The distinction matters: on Free pricing, bonus-entry payments support RallyUp; on Flex, enabled bonus-entry payments support the organiser. Check the pricing plan and checkout settings before comparing proceeds.

Donations, tickets and fundraising in one campaign

GalaBid supports more than a standalone auction. Build your campaign around the ways your community wants to participate.

Donations and appeals

Collect donations as your main fundraising activity or alongside event tickets, auctions and raffles. Add a paddle raise or fund-a-need appeal at an event, with giving levels and a live tally.

Someone who does not want to bid can still support your cause directly.

Event tickets and guest management

Sell individual tickets or tables, collect dietary requirements and let table purchasers invite and manage their guests. Use QR check-in to help manage arrivals.

Ticket buyers can participate in other activities within the campaign without registering again.

Raffles and winner announcements

Sell digital tickets, offer ticket packages, run an integrated draw and notify winners. Display the draw at your event so guests can follow the result.

RallyUp also offers integrated raffle draws. Compare the ticketing, prize and draw workflow you need. Whichever software you choose, your organisation remains responsible for meeting the applicable raffle rules.

Auctions and Buy Now sales

Run silent auctions, sealed bids and auctioneer-led lots with pre-bidding. Add Buy Now items for supporters who prefer a direct purchase. Outbid alerts, extended bidding and venue displays help keep guests involved.

Use the activities you need for each campaign, whether you are fundraising online, in person or across both.

Human support and a free campaign health check

Choosing self-service software should still give you access to help.

GalaBid includes human support, with assistance through live chat, email and phone, plus walkthroughs and guidance for campaign setup and event questions.

You can also request a free campaign health check. Our team reviews your settings, considers the fundraising activities you are using and recommends features that may help your campaign.

RallyUp’s comparison page describes GalaBid as self-guided and says no expert review service is available. That does not reflect GalaBid’s published support and free health-check services.

RallyUp advertises its own free campaign-building service. That is a separate offering from a review of a campaign you have created. Compare the level of help you actually want.

Independently built with founders still involved

GalaBid has grown without external investor funding, and our founders remain involved in the business.

We believe organisers should be able to choose how their software is funded. You can use optional supporter tipping, pay a percentage fee or budget for a fixed campaign fee without platform tip prompts.

Choose the platform that fits your plans

RallyUp offers features such as native peer-to-peer fundraising, a-thons and livestreaming. If those are central to your campaign, assess them directly. Its Donation Pages also offer a no-platform-fee option without required tipping, although payment processing still applies.

GalaBid is a strong option to explore when you want donations, ticketing, raffles, auctions and event fundraising together, with a fixed-fee pricing choice, tip revenue sharing and human support.

Bring your campaign plan and ask us to show you how it would work. Compare the supporter checkout, administration and complete costs before deciding.
