The Donna Ann and Melanoma Charity - "We're converted"

In the summer of 2015 the Donna Annand Melanoma Charity ("DAMC”) decided that they were going to go electronic for the auction they were working on for their Charity Ball. With that in mind, they set about finding a company to help. They evaluated four silent auction companies and GalaBid was the one they chose to go with. A spokesperson for the DAMC said "One of the reasons we wanted to work with GalaBid was because we liked the fact that with GalaBid we could use the software ourselves to run the auction. Whilst it would have been nice, we didn't have the budget for a technician or team to travel to Jersey to run the auction for us. The GalaBid team were also really patient with us as they helped us make quite a few changes to auction in the lead up to the event. 

Thankfully the software was easy to use so we didn't need to call anyone for help on the night. We loved the dashboard in the software too as it was so easy to keep track of our progress and we were also really pleased with how the auction looked. Our 200 guests seemed to really like the software too. Rather than placing tablet devices on the tables, we had staff with tablets on hand to assist any guest who needed or wanted help. This strategy worked really well for us as our guests took to bidding on their phones really well. Choosing GalaBid provided us great value for our money, and we would certainly consider working with them again. We used to run our auction as a live auction only but working with GalaBid allowed us to keep the live auction short and maximise the revenue on the lower value items.
