"I was recently involved in a fundraising effort for the Rugby Club at my son's school. We were keen to have an online auction leading up to our luncheon event, so we could reach a much wider group of people and not just those attending on the day. I found the development of our Galabid site, very easy to set up and edit as required. I even had images for each item! This was all because Galabid provided an excellent online interactive tutorial that guided me through all the fabulous tools available and got me started, when setting up our auction. I was able to contact Andy Mclaren at Galabid at anytime either by email or phone, if I needed any assistance or advice. This was particularly comforting as I have very limited technical skills. I was also pleased to be able to draw on the expertise and experience of the Galabid people to make sure that items had appropriate starting bids and increments and were well marketed and clear to the bidder. Our auction was a terrific success and easy to run because the infrastructure was already in place. Bidders fedback that they found it very easy to register and bid and they particularly liked the text notifications regarding the status of their bid/s. We also had a live auction at our lunch and the Galabid site gave us an opportunity to market those big ticket items well in advance of the auction. The live auction was a great success on the day and included phone bidders who had learnt of the items via Galabid. We used Galabid's STRIPE account to process our funds and found this to be a most efficient option despite the small fee. Gentle reminders from Galabid to the successful bidders meant that everyone settled up quickly and Galabid had transferred our earnings within 10 days.
