Team GB Ball Silent Auction

"I was impressed by the functionality of the GalaBid software the moment I saw it and felt that it would be a great fit for the silent auction at the Team GB Ball. This year it was held at the Royal Opera House and we had 500 guests attending. I have used tablet based silent auction systems before but felt the simplicity and the convenience of people bidding on their phones would increase our fundraising revenue. And it did. We achieved our target and we were delighted to see bidding frenzies on quite a few items. Guests seemed to take to the system really easily and although we did have tablets on tables, the majority of guests chose to bid from their phones. The buzz in the room was palpable as the clock counted down the silent auction's last few minutes.

GalaBid's content management system was also really useful for me as an organiser. It's so easy to add items. We had a few prizes come in very last minute which I quickly added to the auction myself while the event was running. The other benefit over systems I've used previously is the payment functionality. Winners could pay themselves on their phones which meant we collected the payments so much faster than in previous years. I really enjoyed working with the GalaBid team and I'm looking forward to working with them again on my next large fundraising event in January."
