Julias House Childrens Hospice Moving From

In September Julia's House were staging their annual Gala Dinner, the Butterfly Ball. Previously Julia's House used a tablet on the table solution but this year they wanted to connect with their wider supporter base and include them in the fundraising activities.

They chose GalaBid as their silent auction technology solution which enabled them to quickly and easily build a fully branded silent auction website that was device agnostic; bidders could choose between PCs, laptops, tablets or their own phones to register and bid.

The pre-event launch ensured that 23% of the target was achieved before anyone had set foot in the room at the event. On the night itself there was an increase in the volume of bids compared with previous years. There were two reasons for this: each bidder received a text to let them know if they had been outbid on a particular item (along with a link to prompt them to bid again) and guests weren't required to share bidding devices.  

Julia's House wanted to give bidders the opportunity to buy a care package or pay for a day to run the hospice.  At previous events this had been a hands in the air and subsequent paper trail to capture these donations. With GalaBid guests simply selected "Buy It Now" on their phones. Simple!
