Grade A* Feedback from Monte Sant' Angelo Mercy College

GalaBid has grown from a local business in Sydney to a global provider of fundraising technology in the past 5 years and this is mainly down to our fantastic clients providing great feedback and recommending us to their peers. But in case you don't know anyone that has worked with GalaBid we've asked the lovely team at Monte Sant' Angelo Mercy College to provide some feedback on their most recent event: What were the main benefits for you from using the GalaBid platform that you tapped into for your event?

GalaBid enabled us to reach far more people than were attending the lunch. By having an online platform, Alumni, past parents & friends were able to purchase raffle tickets and also bid on silent auction items. We had raised $60,000 before the lunch had even started. Also, being able to add prizes into the silent auction right up until the time of the event is great as we were getting prizes until the night before. This definitely helped maximise the return from the event.

You got a terrific result from the raffle ticket sales: how do you think the GalaBid platform aided with this?

GalaBid enabled all parts of the Monte Community (staff, current, past & future parents, Alumni & friends of Monte to purchase raffle tickets. Online purchases were a great way for everyone to be involved and feel like they were helping the Monte Bursary. It also helped having a great first prize in the raffle - a $10,000 trip to Paris. I think this is key to maximising the raffle ticket sales.

You mentioned you nearly had all payments collected at the time of the event - was the GalaBid payment facility a big help with this?

Absolutely!! The ease of payment through GalaBid made this process so easy and quick. People who were successful bidders on silent auction items but weren't at the lunch could pay remotely.

Finally what tips would you provide to other schools and NFP's looking to use GalaBid?

This is a great fundraising platform. The money you outlay for the product definitely pays for itself many times over. It enables you to reach so many more people than those attending your events and the auction platform is so easy to use. The GalaBid staff are very helpful and are always ready to offer assistance. We will definitely be using GalaBid for more of our fundraising events.
