Cycling Fundraiser: Gav & Marco's Tour de Cure Gala 2016

Ardent supporters of Tour de Cure, Gavin Hardy and Marco Piat will be hitting the road once again to raise awareness and funds to cure cancer. This is Gav's fifth year and Marco's second as Tour de Cure riders and during this time they have raised almost $108,000, along with local rider Adam Jones, who has participated in previous years.

In addition to the ride, on the 12th of March, the Port Douglas duo Gav and Marco held a gala dinner and auction at the Sugar Wharf. With the use of GalaBid's silent auction software platform and pre-event bidding function, the team were able to open the auction up to the public weeks in advance of the live event. This proved to be particularly effective with Annie Crowson blasting on their facebook page a mere 48 hours after pushing the auction live, "OMG. It's like a bidding frenzy out there. We've only been online with the TDC Gala Dinner Auction for 48hrs and we are already up $2,953.”
