RallyUp has two main plans. The Free plan has no platform fee: instead, supporters are asked to leave an optional tip for RallyUp at checkout. The Flex plan removes the tip request and charges a fee of 2.9% to 6.9%, depending on the type of fundraiser. In-person event tools, like silent and live auctions, are only available on Flex.
GalaBid offers three plans with 100+ features on every plan: a Free plan supported by optional supporter tips, with 10% of tips shared with your cause; a Pro plan at 4.9% with no tip prompts; or a $1,250 flat fee per campaign.
If you're reading RallyUp reviews to decide, this guide covers what RallyUp does well, where it falls short, what it really costs, what reviewers say about it, and where GalaBid may be the better fit, particularly for auctions, raffles and in-person events.

What it is: a multi-activity fundraising platform for nonprofits, schools and corporate giving programs, covering raffles, sweepstakes, online, silent and live auctions, ticketing, crowdfunding, peer-to-peer, A-thons, a storefront and livestreaming.
Who it suits: organizations that run several kinds of fundraisers through the year, especially raffles, sweepstakes and peer-to-peer campaigns, and want them in one account.
RallyUp is a strong choice for organizations that run many types of fundraisers, especially raffles, sweepstakes and peer-to-peer campaigns.
RallyUp's Flex fees depend on the activity: 2.9% on tickets and storefront sales, 4.9% on auctions, crowdfunding, Fund-a-Need, Paddle Raise+ and A-thons, and 6.9% on raffles and sweepstakes. Donation pages and livestreaming carry no platform fee. If a campaign mixes activities, each is charged its own rate.
RallyUp's Free plan covers its core online activities: raffles, online auctions, sweepstakes, ticketing, crowdfunding, peer-to-peer, A-thons, a storefront and livestreaming. Its tools for running an in-person event, including silent auctions, live auctions, Fund-a-Need, Paddle Raise+, guest tabs, automated checkout and live displays, are only on the paid Flex plan.
GalaBid includes 100+ features on every plan, including the Free plan, so you don't need a paid plan to run a silent or live auction at an event.
If you'd rather not ask supporters for tips, the difference shows up most on raffles. On a $20,000 raffle, RallyUp's Flex fee of 6.9% comes to $1,380. GalaBid's Pro plan at 4.9% comes to $980, and its flat fee is $1,250 for the whole campaign. That compares platform fees only, before card processing.
RallyUp caps its Flex auction fee at $100 per item, however high the winning bid. That can favor auctions with a few very high-value lots: on a single $10,000 item, RallyUp's fee stops at $100, where GalaBid's Pro plan would charge $490. For large campaigns overall, GalaBid's $1,250 flat fee may still cost less, so it's worth running the numbers for your own item list.
On RallyUp’s Free plan, tips go to RallyUp. In raffles and sweepstakes, supporters are offered discounted bonus entries at checkout, and RallyUp treats that payment as a tip, so it also goes to RallyUp. On Flex, bonus entries are switched off by default; if you turn them on, the money goes to your organization to help cover your platform fee, and you keep anything left over.
On GalaBid’s Free plan, GalaBid shares 10% of platform tips with your cause. If supporters leave $1,000 in platform tips, your cause receives $100. That’s a share of the tips, not a percentage of your fundraising total, and Stripe processing still applies. If you’d rather not show a tip prompt at all, GalaBid’s Pro plan and flat fee remove it.
On RallyUp’s Free plan, raffle and sweepstakes supporters are offered discounted bonus entries at checkout, and that payment is treated as a tip to RallyUp. When you compare platforms, it’s worth asking:
On RallyUp’s Flex plan, bonus entries are off by default. If you turn them on, the payment goes to your organization.
On GalaBid, tips are separate and never buy raffle entries. Every entry is sold at the price you set, and the funds go to your organization, less Stripe processing and any platform fee on your plan.
GalaBid includes human support by live chat, email and phone, with walkthroughs and guidance for setting up your campaign and running your event. You can also request a free Campaign Health Check: GalaBid’s team reviews your settings, looks at the fundraising activities you’re using, and recommends features that could help.
RallyUp’s comparison page describes GalaBid as self-guided, with no expert review available. That doesn’t reflect GalaBid’s support or its free Campaign Health Check. RallyUp does offer its own free campaign-building service, which is a different kind of help: it builds a campaign for you, rather than reviewing one you’ve built. It’s worth deciding which kind of help you want.
On Capterra, RallyUp is rated 4.7 out of 5 from 62 verified reviews, as of September 2026.

Every May since 2014, the fund has held Step Up for Colleen, a 5K walk-run. For the last few years it has added a raffle, selling tickets in person when participants came to collect their race packets. Kristen Walsh, the fund's Director of Public Relations, found the logistics a pain, with a lot of legwork, and only people who came to packet pickup could buy tickets.
Before switching, Kristen tested GalaBid as a supporter. Another local nonprofit was running a GalaBid raffle, so she bought a ticket to see how it worked. She found it super easy, and she even won. She launched the fund's own account straight away, and when she checked with the other nonprofit, it highly recommended the platform.
Kristen focuses on prizes people can actually do, like tickets to events or a tour of a sports museum, sourced from local sports teams, hotels and concert venues. Over the years, the fund has secured everything from goat yoga certificates to a hotel stay and concert tickets. Her tip for sourcing: rather than simply messaging a company, follow its preferred donation process, which often means a form asking for your nonprofit number and event size.
This year she kept the prizes as individual items rather than bundles, so more people could win. With the raffle online, the fund promoted it on social media and in its emails. When questions came up, Kristen used GalaBid's chat, and the team always got her an answer.
