Items on Consignment Terms and Conditions

1. The client can supply their own donated items (UNLIMITED) to be used in the Live and Silent Auction excluding items/prizes sourced from other providers on consignment (see T&Cs above). GalaBid are the exclusive items on consignment provider unless another third party is approved by GalaBid. GalaBid can also offer multiples of the same item to the under-bidders if the client wishes to utilise this service through the GalaBid technology.

2. All unsold items will be returned to GalaBid, at no cost to the client*. For items that do sell then GalaBid will be paid the cost price (Inc.GST) for each item on consignment sold. GalaBid will only retain the cost price (Inc.GST) of its own items: all additional fundraising revenue generated will go to the final donation to the client. An invoice for the items will be generated once the auction has finished. This invoice will need paying within 7 days. If GalaBid has collected funds on behalf of the client into our bank account then we will withhold the balance for the invoice from these funds. *An exception to this will be if GalaBid staff are not in attendance of your event and we are shipping physical items to your event – in which case it will be the client’s responsibility to cover the shipping fees for the return of any unsold items

3. GalaBid will set the starting bid for every item that they provide to cover the cost price of the item. Typically the starting bid will be set higher than the cost price (Inc. GST) to guarantee a 5% donation from every item that sells. If you would like to just set the item at the cost price or would like to set it at a higher percentage than 5% then please advise your account manager who can amend this for you (in general this can be up to a maximum of 10% above the cost price). The client should not change the starting price to an amount lower than the cost price as they will still be liable for the full cost price if the item sells.

4. GalaBid will provide any applicable vouchers and Terms & Conditions to any of the items on consignment prizes directly to the client and these should be listed in the LIVE and SILENT auctions so the end purchaser is aware of these before purchase. GalaBid will also add Terms and Conditions to the registration process for bidders to ensure they are aware all bids are final. There are no refunds for any sold items – however GalaBid is happy to transfer the prize on to another named party. Redemption vouchers for experience-based prizes are available through the GalaBid platform and it is the client’s responsibility to ensure vouchers are provided to their winning bidders once payment has been received. Final invoices for consignment items will need to be paid by the client in order for winning bidders to redeem their prize.
